(6 March 1887 - 17 December 1918, Calcutta) Sri Aurobindo's wife. Her father — Bose Bhupal Chandra from Calcutta. She was his the eldest daughter. Her father — Bose Bhupal Chandra from Calcutta. She was his the eldest daughter. According to her father, she "evinced no exceptional abilities or tendencies in her childhood, indeed at no stage of her life". Though educated at Brahmo School and surrounded by Brahmo friends, Mrinalini Devi took no special interest in the Brahmo movement. The whole religious bent of the later years of her life was towards Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa and Swami Vivekananda.
At 14 years old at 30 Apr. 1901 she married to Sri Aurobindo. Aurobindp's absorption at political and literature action, and thereafter at a spiritual practice left a little room for domesticity. 17 Dec.1918 Mrinalini died during epidemic influenza.
