Friend of d-r Ghose, Sri Aurobindo's father, founder of brahmanical school for girls at Calcutta. Sri Aurobindo's father named his son by the name of Akroid from which Sri Aurobindo gave up and never used it.

Annette came to Calcutta from England on 15 December 1872. She wedded with Henry Beveridge in 1875 and transferred to Rangpur in 1876. There Henry and Annette Beveridge often invited the Ghoses for dinner. In 1877 Annette Beveridge went to Darjeeling where she visited the doctor’s sons.
