(1861-1937), father-in-law of Sri Aurobindo and father of Mrinalini; co-founder, with his friend Girish Chandra Bose, of the Bangabasi School and College. He also served the institution as a teacher for two years. He entered Government service in 1888 and worked as an agricultural officer for 28 years in Bengal and Assam.
