Birendra Nath Ghose (1890-?), of Jessore. A relation of Mrinalini’s; Sri Aurobindo’s cousin. Had four brothers: Satyendra Nath, Dhirendra Nath, Sailendra Nath and Jitendra Nath. Hemendra Kumar and Sishir Kumar were the sons of his father’s cousin. Arabindo Ghose was the son-in-law of his cousin Bhupal Chandra Bose.

Educated at Dibrugarh, which he left in October 1907. He joined Barin’s group at the Manicktolla Garden. Arrested on 14 May 1908 at Jessore District; made quite innocent statement to the Police, however, acquitted at the Sessions Court.
