Information

(1879-1950), a revolutionary of Chandernagore (Bengal), and one of Sri Aurobindo’s associates (sub-editor) on the Bande Mataram staff. A master of Bengali prose, he was also one of the real editors and writers of Yugantar. He helped Barindra in recruiting and training suitable boys for the secret society and was in charge of their religious, moral and political education. In the Alipore Bomb Case he was sentenced to transportation for life; but was released after World War I.
