(1852-1928); Liberal member of the Parliament of the United Kingdom (1886-1918,1920-24); Prime Minister (1908-16), responsible, for the Parliament Act of 1911 which limited the power of the House of Lords, and leader of Britain during the first two years of World War I. He was created Earl in 1925.
