(1866-1923), a journalist, a newspaper-columnist, and a stylist in Bengali prose. He also knew Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu, and Persian very well, and was a competent writer in English as well. Panchkadi was connected with many journals and newspapers - Bangafoari, Telegraph (English), Basumati, Sandhya, Hitabadi etc. - as editor or otherwise.
