a genius of physical strength who also possessed an extraordinary calm, courage, and self-confidence, which further enhanced his physical prowess. Wild and ferocious animals used to crouch at his feet, awed by the current of his dynamic vitality. Later he turned to the life of an ascetic, adopted the name Soham Swami, and dwelt in the Himalayas near Nainital. He composed and published Soham Gita.
