Information

(1260-90) was a Florentine lady to whom Dante dedicated most of his poetry and almost all his life, from his first sight of her at the age of nine. She is believed to be the Beatrice of Dante’s Divina commedia (The Divine Comedy) and Vita nuova (The New Life).
