Utility of Correspondence [1]
It would be a great mistake for you to stop writing in the book;1 it is a means of direct and concrete contact with me and the help I can give you – apart from that which I always send you at all times. It is an adverse suggestion and influence which wants you to stop writing, because it wishes to cut the connection established through the book so that you might find it more difficult to feel my help coming to you.
It is absurd to break off because you are for the time being unsuccessful in keeping up an uninterrupted progress; the interruptions come, they have to be passed through and then the progress begins again. The difficulties will be got rid of, but they cannot be got rid of in a moment.
Keep the book and write in it whenever you can.
