Sri Aurobindo — Sahana Devi

Undated

We have heard nothing from anybody about that – X also did not speak of it. But he has got into a tremendous depression since yesterday and has been writing the usual things he writes when he is like that, but all in connection with sadhana only. He did not absent himself from Pranam, but he was not there for evening meditation today. I suppose it must have been as you say, for otherwise the suddenness of his depression was quite unaccountable; he had written quite cheerfully the day before. As I have no details of what happened, I cannot say anything. X must have been thrown by the talk into an old (past) groove of consciousness and got the old reaction from something that did not please him, I suppose.
