We shall do all that is necessary to liberate you from this thing. Only to get rid of so deep-rooted a habit of the physical nature needs a persistent action, so if it takes some time you should not yield to despondency or despair – for that weakens the resistance to the habit. Secondly, if you can keep your mind free from the thing even when the vital is attacked, that is [to] say not accept any justification of the envy, jealousy, anger, any reasoning of the mind in their favour, then it will be easier to work, to separate it from the vital ego. But in any case it will be done.
