I don’t very much care to accept unknown people unless they turn out to be of the right stuff. His visions were {{0}}interesting[[See the letter of 12 November 1936 on page 551. — Ed.]] but what I wanted was for him to prepare himself and see whether anything developed in him. If there is nothing in his letters about experiences or spiritual developments, he has not satisfied the test. You will in that case write to him that his acceptance depends upon his development and showing that he is really called to this sadhana.
