(02.02.1903 - 09.05.1992), ученик Шри Ауробиндо, долго бывший его личным помощником.
Родился в Патане, Гуджарат, впервые приехал в Понличерри 1 апреля 1921, окончательно переехал в 1923. Он сказал: "Я пришел сюда целью реализации Бога. Здесь я нашел акцент на трансформации. Очень скоро, однако, обе цели отступили и служение овладело всем моим существом."
С 1926 по 1938 только он и Мать видели Шри Ауробиндо ежедневно. Он ухаживал за Шри Ауробиндо, когда тот сломал ногу в 1938. Он был рядом, когда Шри Ауробиндо ушел.
Через некоторое время после ухода Матери он принял обет молчания и соблюдал его с тех пор.
