Let the birth of the new year be the new birth of our consciousness.
Leaving the past far behind us, let us run towards a luminous future.
Que la naissance de la nouvelle anné e soit une nouvelle naissance pour notre conscience.
Laissant le passé loin derrière nous, courons vers un avenir lumineux.
Lord, the year is dying and our gratitude bows down to Thee.
Lord, the year is reborn, our prayer rises up to Thee.
Let it be for us also the dawn of a new life.
Seigneur, l'année se meurt et notre gratitude s'incline devant Toi.
Seigneur, l'année renaît et notre prière s'élève vers Toi.
Que cela soit, pour nous aussi, l'aurore d'une vie nouvelle.
We surrender to Thee this evening all that is artificial and false, all that pretends and imitates. Let it disappear with the year that is at an end. May only what is perfectly true, sincere, straight and pure subsist in the year that is beginning.
Nous Te faisons l'offrande, ce soir, de tout ce qui est artificiel et faux, de tout ce qui prétend et imite. Que seul ce qui est parfaitement vrai, sincère, droit et pur subsiste dans cette année qui commence.
O Lord! Grant that this year may be the year of Thy Victory.
We aspire for a perfect faithfulness which would make us worthy of it.
Seigneur, permets que cette année soit l'année de Ta victoire.
Nous aspirons à une fidélité parfaite, qui nous rende digne d'Elle.
Glory to Thee, O Lord, who triumphest over every obstacle!
Grant that nothing in us may be an impediment to Thy work.
Gloire à Toi, Seigneur, Triomphateur de tous les obstacles.
Permets que rien en nous ne fasse obstacle à Ton œuvre.
Lord, grant that everything in us may be ready for Thy Realisation. On the threshold of the new year we bow down to Thee, O Lord, Supreme Realiser.
Seigneur, permets que tout en nous soit prêt pour Ta réalisation. Au seuil de cette nouvelle année nous Te saluons, Seigneur, Réalisateur suprême.
Will be the year of purification.
O Lord, all those who take part in the divine work implore Thee that by a supreme purification they may be liberated from the domination of the ego.
Sera l'année de la purification.
Seigneur, tous les ouvriers de l'œuvre divine T'implorent pour que, dans une purification suprême, Tu les délivres de la domination de l'ego.
A year of silence and expectation...
Let us find, O Lord, our entire support in Thy Grace alone.
Une année de silence et de recueillement...
... Seule la Grâce divine sera notre soutien.
The world is fighting for its spiritual life menaced by the rush of hostile and undivine forces.
Lord, we aspire to be Thy valiant warriors so that Thy glory may manifest upon the earth.
Le monde lutte pour sa vie spirituelle menacée par la ruée des forces antidivines.
Seigneur, nous aspirons à être Tes vaillants guerriers afin que Ta gloire soit manifestée sur la terre.
Glory to Thee, O Lord, conqueror of every foe! Give us the power to endure and share in Thy victory.
Gloire à Toi, Seigneur, triomphateur de tous Tes ennemis.
Donne-nous l'endurance nécessaire pour participer à Ta victoire.
The hour has come when a choice has to be made, radical and definitive.
Lord, give us the strength to reject falsehood and emerge in Thy truth, pure and worthy of Thy victory.
This is no question of general theory; it belongs to the actuality of things. The Asura is the force of falsehood, antidivine, which reigns as sovereign over the physical world; his influence is felt everywhere, it is in everything in Matter. But the time has now come when the separation, the purification, can be made, the falsehood, the Asuric influence, rejected and there can be an exclusive living in the Divine

Truth.C'est l'heure où le choix s'impose d'une façon radicale.
Seigneur, donne-nous la force de rejeter le mensonge et de surgir dans Ta vérité, purs et dignes de Ta victoire.
Il n'est pas question de théorie générale. C'est un fait d'actualité. L'Asoura (la force de mensonge antidivine) règne souverain sur le monde physique; son influence se fait sentir partout et en tout dans la matière. Mais le moment est venu où la séparation (la purification) peut se faire, où le mensonge (l'in- fluence de l'Asoura) peut être rejeté et où l'on peut vivre exclusivement dans la Vérité divine.
O Lord, the world implores Thee to prevent it from falling back always into the same stupidities.
Grant that the mistakes recognised may never be renewed.
Grant lastly that its actions may be the exact and sincere expression of its proclaimed ideals.
Seigneur, le monde T'implore pour que Tu l'empêches de retomber toujours dans les mêmes stupidités.
Permets que l'erreur reconnue ne soit jamais renouvelée.
Permets enfin que les actions soient l'expression sincère et exacte de l'Idéal proclamé.
The earth will enjoy a lasting and living peace only when men understand that they must be truthful even in their international dealings.
O Lord, it is for this perfect truthfulness that we aspire.
La terre ne pourra pas jouir d'une paix vivante et durable tant que les hommes n'auront pas appris à être parfaitement véridiques même dans leurs relations internationales.
Seigneur, c'est à cette parfaite véracité que nous aspirons.
Lord, it is Thy Peace we would have and not a vain semblance of peace, Thy Freedom and not a semblance of freedom, Thy Unity and not a semblance of unity. For it is only Thy Peace, Thy Freedom and Thy Unity that can triumph over the blind violence and the hypocrisy and falsehood that still reign upon earth.
Grant that those who so valiantly struggled and suffered for Thy Victory, may see the true and genuine results of that victory realised in the world.
Seigneur, c'est Ta Paix que nous voulons, pas un simulacre de paix; c'est Ta Liberté que nous voulons, pas un simulacre de liberté; c'est Ton Unité que nous voulons, pas un simulacre d'unité. Car seules Ta Paix, Ta Liberté, Ton Unité peuvent triompher de la violence aveugle et du mensonge hypocrite qui règnent encore sur la terre.
Permets que ceux qui ont si vaillamment lutté et souffert pour Ta victoire voient se réaliser dans le monde les résultats véritables de cette victoire.
At the very moment when everything seems to go from bad to worse, it is then that we must make a supreme act of faith and know that the Grace will never fail us.
This is not a prayer, but an encouragement.
Here is the encouragement and a comment upon it:
“At the very moment when everything seems to go from bad to worse, it is then that we must make a supreme act of faith and know that the Grace will never fail us.”
The hours before the dawn are always the darkest.
The servitude just before freedom comes is the most painful of all.
But in the heart endowed with faith burns the eternal flame of hope which leaves no room for discouragement.
C'est au moment même où tout semble aller de mal en pis qu'il nous faut faire un suprême acte de foi et savoir que la Grâce ne faillira point.
Cette année, ce n'est pas une prière, c'est un encouragement.
Voici l'encouragement suivi d'un commentaire:
"C'est au moment même où tout semble aller de mal en pis qu'il nous faut faire un suprême acte de foi et savoir que la Grâce ne faillira point."
Les heures qui précèdent l'aurore sont toujours les plus sombres.
L'esclavage qui précède la liberté est de tous le plus douloureux.
Mais dans le cœur doué de foi brille la lumière éternelle de l'espérance qui ne laisse aucune place au découragement.
Forward, for ever forward!
At the end of the tunnel is the light…

En avant, toujours en avant!
Au bout du tunnel il y a la lumière...
Au bout du combat il y a la victoire!
Lord, on the eve of the new year I asked Thee what I must say. Thou hast made me see two extreme possibilities and given me the command to keep silent.
Seigneur, au seuil de la nouvelle année je T'ai demandé ce qu'il fallait que je dise. Tu m'as fait voir deux possibilités extrêmes et opposées et Tu m'as ordonné de me taire.
Don’t speak. Act.
Don’t announce. Realise.
Pas de paroles: des actes.
Pas de proclamations: des faits.
Lord, we are upon earth to accomplish Thy work of transformation. It is our sole will, our sole preoccupation. Grant that it may be also our sole occupation and that all our actions may help us towards this single goal.
Seigneur, nous sommes sur terre pour accomplir Ton œuvre de transformation. C'est notre seule volonté, notre seule préoccupation. Permets que cela soit aussi notre seule occupation et que toutes nos actions ne tendent que vers ce seul but.
O Lord, Thou hast decided to test the quality of our faith and to pass our sincerity on Thy touchstone. Grant that we come out greater and purer from the ordeal.
Seigneur, Tu as voulu juger de la qualité de notre foi et passer notre sincérité sur ta pierre de touche. Permets que nous sortions de l'épreuve grandis et purifiés.
Lord, Thou hast told us: Do not give way, hold tight. It is when everything seems lost that all is saved.
Seigneur, tu nous as dit: ne fléchissez pas, tenez bon; c'est au moment où tout semble perdu que tout est sauvé.
My Lord, here is Thy advice to all, for this year: “Never boast about anything, let your acts speak for you.”
Seigneur, voici le conseil que Tu donnes à tous pour la nouvelle année: “Ne vous vantez jamais de rien, laissez vos actes parler pour vous.”
No human will can finally prevail against the Divine’s Will. Let us put ourselves deliberately and exclusively on the side of the Divine, and the Victory is ultimately certain.
Aucune volonté humaine ne peut prévaloir contre la Volonté Divine. Rangeons-nous délibérément et exclusivement du côté du Divin et la victoire finale est certaine.
The greatest victories are the least noisy.
The manifestation of a new world is not proclaimed by beat of drum.
Les plus grandes victoires sont celles qui font le moins de bruit.
La manifestation d'un monde nouveau ne s'annonce pas à coups de tambour.
A Power greater than that of Evil can alone win the victory.
It is not a crucified but a glorified body that will save the world.
Seule une puissance plus grande que celle du mal peut remporter la victoire.
Ce n'est pas un corps crucifié mais un corps glorifié qui sauvera le monde.
O Nature, Material Mother, thou hast said that thou wilt collaborate and there can be no limit to the splendour of this collaboration.
Ô Nature, mère matérielle, tu as dit que tu collaboreras, et il n'y a pas de limite à la splendeur de cette collaboration.
At the very bottom of the inconscience most hard and rigid and narrow and stifling I struck upon an almighty spring that cast me up forthwith into a formless limitless Vast vibrating with the seeds of a new world.
Tout au fond de l'inconscience la plus dure, la plus rigide, la plus étroite, la plus suffocante, j'ai touché un ressort tout-puissant qui m'a projetée d'un seul coup dans une immensité sans forme et sans limite où vibrent les semences d'un monde nouveau.
To know is good,
to live is better,
to be, that is perfect.
Connaître est bien,
vivre est mieux,
être, voilà la perfection.
This wonderful world of delight waiting at our gates for our call, to come down upon earth…
Ce monde merveilleux de félicité, à nos portes, qui attend notre appel pour descendre sur la terre.
We thirst for perfection. Not this human perfection which is a perfection of the ego and bars the way to the divine perfection.
But that one perfection which has the power to manifest upon earth the Eternal Truth.
Notre être a soif de perfection. Non pas cette perfection humaine qui est une perfection de l'ego et barre le chemin à la perfection divine. Mais une perfection qui puisse manifester sur terre la Vérité Éternelle.
Let us prepare for the Hour of God.
L'Heure de Dieu est proche; il faut nous y préparer.
Are you ready?
The question means: Are you ready for the Hour of God?
Êtes-vous prêts?
La question veut dire: Êtes-vous prêts pour l'Heure de Dieu?
Salute to the advent of Truth.
Salut à l'Avènement de la Vérité.
Let us serve the Truth.
What is the Truth?
He who wants sincerely to serve the Truth, will know the Truth.
Au service de la Vérité.
Qu'est-ce que la Vérité?
Mettez-vous au service de la Vérité, et vous connaîtrez la Vérité.
Men, countries, continents!
The choice is imperative:
Truth or the abyss.
Hommes, nations, continents!
Le choix est impératif:
c'est la Vérité ou l'abîme.
Remain young, never stop striving towards perfection.
Reste jeune, ne cesse pas de tendre vers la perfection.
No words – acts.
Is de paroles: des actes.
The world is preparing for a big change.

When you are conscious of the whole world at the same time, then you can become conscious of the Divine.
Quand vous devenez conscient du monde tout entier en même temps, alors vous êtes capable d'être conscient du Divin.
