of Rig Veda

dhanvan, desert

The desert is an image for earthly worlds in which there is no free flow of all seven Rivers, where four upper Rivers (i.e. modes of four upper laws of working of consciousness, vrata-s) are locked in a rock, are latent in solid earthly consciousness, and must be released.
