bṛhaspati, Brihaspati

Brihaspati, Brahmanaspati, is Lord of word of the Truth, Master of brahman, divine Wisdom-Word. He makes from narrowness wideness, 1.105.17, broke the mountain, found the cows (supramental perceptions), 1.62.3. For thy hearing of the Truth the mountain was broke, thou hast opened pen of cows, when, o Angiras, o Brihaspati, with Indra-ally, thou hast released flow of Waters, besieged by darkness, 2.23.18. The irresistible Bull having tongue of ecstasy, Brihaspati, praised by hymns of illumination, leading a song, perfect in lustre, whom, raising his voice, hear the gods and the mortals, 1.190.1. Speeches seeking divinity, which he released, like discharged herds cleave to him, 1.190.2. His call goes in Heaven, on Earth, let him all-conscious sustain like steed bearing spirit, and like rapid casts of lions these dragon maya-s (i.e. powerful forces of creative knowledge) from Brihaspati go through Days, 1.190.4. To whom hymns go together like rivers encircled by banks flowing to ocean; he, knowing, vulture-Brihaspati, sees within both, shore and waters, 1.190.7. Even all-conscious gods, O Asura, O mighty Lord, O Brihaspati, thy sacrificial share had enjoyed, like bright herds he bring by the Light into birth great Sun, verily, thou is a parent of all Wisdom-Words, 2.23.2. Repelling forces of evil, everywhere crying, and dark forces, thou standest on chariot from Light of the Truth, O Brihaspati, on formidable, striking the enemies, killing Rakshasas, opening pen of cows, finding Svar, 2.23.3. By well leading Words-Wisdoms thou directest, protectest the man, who gave to thee, an evil does not reach him, thou is burning out haters of Wisdom-Word, destroying in furry, O Brihaspati, that greatness of thy is big, 2.23.4. Thee, the protector of embodiments-hymns, we call, o deliverer, saviour that love us, O Brihaspati, do smash haters of gods, let not them attain supreme bliss, malignant ones, 2.23.8. With thee we establish highest growth, O Brihaspati, with giving, with conquering, with friend in expression by thoughts, 2.23.10.
