bhareṣujā, born in proclamations (of the Truth)
The exact meaning of the word is not known. The word occurs once in Veda. It consists of jā, born, and bhareṣu, locative, plural from bhara, that is, literally, in transfers, bearings, carryings, bringings, bestowings, grantings, supportings, etc. If we remember that soma is a figure that symbolizes the hymn-offering, bearing the Wisdom-Words born in knowledge, it becomes obvious that soma, the hymn, is born in the process of obtaining direct knowledge of the Truth through hearing and vision and of transmitting this knowledge through the hymn – thus all the meanings of transfer, bringing, etc. are connected precisely with the transmission of the direct knowledge, of the Truth.
