1 The piece was taken from A&R. 1977, No 2, p.23. It was written in Pondicherry, probably after 1930. It is a translation of Latin hexameter, using the same metre in English. The Latin originals is O passi graviora, dabit deus his quoquc finem (Virgil Aeneid 1.199)
