vṛtra, Vritra

“Coverer”. Forces of Darkness, hiding Waters in hard rock of human mental mind. These Powers uphold current Law of work, vrata, of Earth, in which open action of four higher vrata-s is forbidden (currents of four upper rivers from honeyed Ocean) and Immortality, Consciousness-Knowledge, Bliss, are latent, whereas the Earth it a worlds of Ignorance, Suffering, Unconsciousness and Death. “The darkness stood, the crooked receptacle of waters, the mountain was within the belly of Vritra (figure for mental mind of man)”, 1.54.10. Most Vritra is Serpet Shusna (see).
