The God, the supreme Light, the true Sun. Surya is crossing through, all-seeing, creating light, he illumes all luminous world, 1.50.4, the Sun has spread out the Truth, 1.105.12, Surya fills with rays the middle word, 1.84.1. In-between Heaven and Earth the pure god Surya goes by law of his nature, 1.160.1. Thou goest through Heaven, through wide middle worlds, forming the days, seeing by Nights the divine births, O Surya, 1.50.7. The Sun goes upward on the Earth, 1.157.1. Surya is in all seven worlds: Seven shining horses carry thee in chariot, O God, O Sun with hair of flaming-light, O all-seeing, 1.50.8. Bright power of the gods has came up, the eye of Mitra, Varuna, Agni – Surya, the Atman of the moving and of the standing, has filled Earth and Heaven and middle region, 1.115.1. Ever the wheel ageless rolls, ten yoked bear in stretched out; eye of the Sun, surrounded by middle world goes, in it there are all fastened worlds, 1.164.14. To the Sun aspiring men are rising: above, we, from darkness seeing around the upper light, came to the god in gods, to Surya, to supreme Light, 1.50.10. Desiring to conquer they saw the Ocean all around – Surya has became manifested for these manly ones, 1.146.4. Verily, comrade with comrades, Indra with ten Dashagvas that true Sun found, abiding in darkness, 3.39.5.
