bhrājadṛṣṭi, with bright spears

Like all equipment of the Maruts, weapons, adornments, armour etc it is described always as shining, blazing, glittering, sparkling and so on – an image not of wide illumination as that which gives the lightening of Indra, but of rays, penetrating darkness.
