Lexicon
of Rig Veda
kīri, doer; weak; weak poet-doer
The word is interpreted in two opposite meanings: (1) worker, who does the Vedic work – poet and seer; (2) the weak or poor one. In the rick in which this word is found, it is seems that the word combines both meanings and means a poet deprived of talent, but who, thanks to God, is capable of high and magnificent hymns-offerings.
