suprāvya, who is able to grow well

The exact meaning of the word is not known, linguistically acceptable and contextually justified the meaning of “well-increased.” Prefixes su-, well, completely, pra - forward, further; then avya: (1) a passive participle of future time, (a) from av, to cultivate, cherish, advance; (b) from u, to call, call, roar, cry out; (2) peel from sheep's wool. The word occurs 7 times; the value suggested here is relevant everywhere as it is.

Sri Aurobindo proposed three interpretations of the word: the one who makes a good advance (1919); well protected (1914); one who comes forward in his growing soul (1913). Monier-Williams: very attentive or mindful, very zealous; Sayana, Wilson and Dutt: him who deserves your protection (1.34.4), the careful protector (1.60.1), well-protected (1.83.1), propitiator (2.26.1), who approaches with homage (4.25.5); Sayana, Wilson: well protected (7.66.5), deserving of careful protection (10.125.2); Griffit: the man who well deserves your help (1.34.4), the good protector (1.60.1), well guarded (1.83.1), zealous (2.26.1, 4.25.5, 10.125.2), guarded well (7.66.5); Jamison: who follow your commandment (1.34.4), pursuing his ritual duties well (1.60.1, 1.83.1, 2.26.1), the hard-striver (4.25.5), ritually pursues the gods well (7.66.5); Oldenberg: ready (1.60.1); Roth: very attentive, zealous; Thomas: who offers first (10.125.2); T. Elizarenkova: the diligent (in sacrifice) (1.34.4), most useful (1.60.1), well performing the rite (1.83.1), who accepts (gods) well (2.26.1), well inviting (4.25.5), attractive (7.66.5), zealous (10.125.2); Sarasvati: well-guarded (1.83.1), earnest worshipper (2.26.1), particularly enlightened (4.25.5), deserving careful protection (10.125.2) Kashyap: deserving protection (1.34.4), the able defender (1.60.1), he grows most (1.83.1) Ganguly: to be fully protected (1.34.4), the god to be perfectly guarded (1.60.1), perfectly protected (1.83.1).
