pṛkṣ, ecstasy, enjoyment; satisfaction

Sri Aurobindo wrote on the word: «The word pṛkṣa is rendered food in the ritual interpretation like the kindred word prayas. The root means pleasure, fullness, satisfaction, and may have the material sense of a “delicacy” or satisfying food and the psychological sense of a delight, pleasure or satisfaction.» (CWSA.– Vol. 15.– 1998, p. 329.)
