Sri Aurobindo used in his early translations these meanings: supreme good (1916); good of bliss (1919) felicity (1918-1920). Nevertheless, we have related words variman, vastness, varīman, expanse, and even the word varuṇa has the connotation of vastness. Also, an analysis of the riks where this word occurs speaks in favor of the meaning of space, wideness.
