īśānakṛt, who makes man a lord and king
The word occurs seven times. Here is used the translation of the word by Sri Aurobindo. Anyway, the word īśāna means owning, possessing, wealthy and also the ruler, master. Indra gives man the heavenly riches of Light and Knowledge, releases for him the course of the four rivers of the Honey Ocean, and thereby promotes the divine transformation of human nature, making him sovereign over his earthly nature.
