dakṣiṇatas, with discernment

Traditionally translated as an adverb “on the right” or “from the south”. Nevertheless, it is a discernment, a direct perception of Truth, implied as one of the key requirements and features of Vedic work. Thus, in rik 1.95.6, Agni, the Lord of discernment, becomes visible, manifested, due to the offering that is worked out through discernment.
