of Rig Veda
There are many words (napāt, yahu, sūnu, putra) with this meaning. The difficulty here is rather in usage of this word, which may be applied:
(1) to the god, who may be (a) the son of Rishi being “born” in him, (b) the son of Rishi’s hymn being manifested, embodied in it, (c) the son of waters, (d) the son of a power etc.;
(2) to the hymn, which may be the eternal offspring-ussue of Rishi’s work.
