tri, three

The ritualistic interpretation often takes the words “three” and “trice” as the doing of the ritual three times a day: in the morning, at day and in the evening. But as a rule these words (“three” and “trice”) correlate with

(1) three steps of Vishnu, where the first step is Earth (tree Earth), the second steps is the Mid-Word of the Overmind, the third step is Heaven (three Heavens);

(2) three worlds of Earth (material, vital, mental) = three Nights or trice in Night;

(3) three worlds of Heaven (Svar, Mayas, Sat-Chit-Tapas) = three Days or trice in a Day.
