vanin, thinking

Sri Aurobindo used the meaning “enjoying,” following his interpretation of the Vedic word a tree as a pleasure. We, in our translation of the word as “thinking,” proceed from the interpretation of the tree as a thought growing from the earth, which top Varuna holds in Heaven.
