hari, bright steed

two bright horses, is two overmind abilities of direct perceiving of the Truth through its hearing, śruti, imaged by the left horse Savya, and through its vision, dṛṣṭi, the right horse Dakshina. Both these perceptions together make Indra’s lightning, that illuminates our darkness, splits our rocks, release waters, cows, Sun, kills the Enemy and that is a roar of Heaven, that establishes the Truth everywhere.
