camasa, cup

Cups, usable for drinking for Indra, 1.54.9. Ribhus: “We did not blame the cup which is high-born, only voiced wellbeing of the wooden one”, 1.161.1. Agni: “The sole cup do make in four ones, that the gods have said to you, verily, when you will do it, you will become masters of sacrifice together with gods”. This wooden cup for drinking by Indra may be only consciousness of Rishi himself, the word wooden is allusion to mental consciousness (because a tree is an image symbolizing aspiring and full of bliss thought).

There are four cups receiving, storing and offering soma, which were made from the first wooden cup (meaning mental consciousness), carved by the god Twashtri. It seems that the second cup is in intuitive consciousness, the third cup is in overmind consciousness (in several places Veda talks about several middle worlds), the fourth cup is in supramental consciousness.
