Three Heavens1 {are} of Savitri , two {of them} {are} standing nearby, one {of them is} in the world of Yama , {the world} harbouring heroes ; the immortals have stood upon {this} charioteer like {spokes} upon the pin of the axle. Here let him speak who is aware of That.
1 Three Heavens are three worlds of the region of the highest, the third, step of Vishnu. Two Heavens standing nearby are (1) the world of the highest Heaven, sat-cit-tapas, the world of the god Yama, the abode of heroes, virāṣāṭ, the world of the divine tapas, and (2) the world of the middle Heaven, mayas, the world of Bliss, the world of the unyoking of the steeds of the Sun. Later, these two worlds were united by Vedanta into the triune saccidānanda. The lower Heaven, not mentioned in this rik, is svar, the supramental world of the dynamic activity of the Sun.
